I just bought my first golf cart for $450 a Yamaha. It's definitely a project. I believe I know what's wrong with it but can't find the VIN tag anywhere to get the correct parts. I've looked everywhere that the internet has told me to look. Odd, right? I was told it is a 1997 but I'm thinking it's a 1987(ish). Distinguishing characteristics are; fuel tank is J55-F4111-12-00, the fuel filler is exposed behind the seat, fuel pump has 6 screws (not 4) and nowhere for a key, just a switch (possibly switched out by previous owner). I'd love to know what year and possible model so that i can start the rebuild. (I think the fuel pump was disassembled and then put back together wrong)
