ez go 295 cc carb problem

the cart will not run full speed unless you choke it, it might stat running correctly but if you go up a hill you have to choke it to keep it from stalling out, the carb has been cleaned, any suggestions?

There are times where I clean out the carbs, and they still don't work for some reason. It does sound like a carb problem, espically since you say the valves were adjusted.

i agree, but once the intakes start to get soft they'll loose adjustment in ten hrs or so. just sayin' its cheap and easy to check and make sure since there known for bad valves

Sometimes this kind of problem can be solved by simply adjusting the governor. So it coulld be that, dirty carb jets (the one at the bolt holding the bowl) or poor compression. Check compression first. Even at 130, it should still be strong enough to carry 2 people and 2 golfbags going uphill.

what about gas? i've found on my cart it will not hardly run on ethanol mixed fuel.
