Looking for advice on a 2000 Club Car Villager

I want a 6-seater. The options near me have been limited for a while. There is a cart on Marketplace I've been watching for a while, but I don't know anything about Villagers. I'm hoping you guys can help.

- How hard is it to get parts? These normally look like an extended DS so I wondeed if there is some overlap on parts.
- Looks like a series setup. How would I go about converting this?
- Eventually, I want to convert it to AC. I'm not set on any particular type (navitas, alltrax, teekon). Would any/all work?

I almost pulled the trigger on an EZ-GO this past week, but someone beat me to it. It was a great-looking cart for $3,500 and didn't last a day. I hesitated b/c I have only really worked on Precedents. The one below is listed at $5k. It has an evolution lithium battery installed by a local dealer.

Most parts are the same, just some are heavier duty versions but Club Car is good about offering parts. One major difference is the front brakes which someone deleted because looking cool with a cheap lift kit is more important than being able to stop

You would need to rewire, a Villager iQ harness is probably going to be pretty expensive. Or you would have to modify a different harness or build one from scratch.

That looks pretty rough for $5k, I’ve bought way nicer carts for that.

Why the actual :censored: would they put an Evolution battery in a Club Car, those are junk. You may as well just go buy an Evolution golf cart.

I think there is some flex in the price. I wouldn't pay that. Most 6-seaters in my area are listed for $7-9k+. They are typically newer, but are still on LA batteries. And most of those appear to be aftermarket stretch kits, which I've seen mixed reviews on them b/c they may sag. Not sure if that's accurate. I don't want to spend $7k on a cart and then need to dump more money into it.

As for the evolution battery, That's a good question. There seems to be a golf cart dealer that installs them. The dealer is about 75 miles from me, and I've seen a few carts in that area that have those batteries. This seller confirmed that the dealer installed it for them. It's something that I'd change eventually.

Thanks for the reply!
