2008 Yamaha YDRE Pedal Assembly Removal

Bought a 2008 Yamaha YDRE the accelerator pedal doesn't return, sprayed it down doesn't really change figure the spring is worn out on the pedal. Is the brake cable, part of the new assembly? I can not for the life of me figure out how to separate or removal of the cable from the pedal assembly. I don't see how it would slide out of the notch.
Any help would be appreciated.

you release the clevis pin that attaches clevis to pedal, pull buck rubber dust boot and loose adjusting all all the way , pull cable housing towards rear of cart and slide cable out of slot.
