Transaxle Noise

I was changing the drive belt on my 2014 Yamaha G29. I turned the driven clutch by hand and noticed a clicking noise. It will go away if I move the governor arm all the way to the stop.

Any ideas on what may be causing this noise and how to address it?

The axle is a jw8-g6300-20-00. It has a Schafer Driveline tag on it with part number 012AJ500-1.

I took off the driven clutch and the noise is still present, when spinning the transaxle input shaft by hand. Any ideas? Could this be one of the weights on the input shaft?
