Not too sure but it makes a.lot of noise on deceleration. I took rear end out and it had one bad carrier bearing I replaced both sides Reinstalled but still makes a lot of noise. I noticed that the pinion gear had about .060 plus of side play. Can this be shimmed? The gears themselves looked good.

So the input shaft and intermediate shaft bearing are good? If it is a knocking type noise you need a small rubber bumper in the motor collar that slides over the input shaft. Most golf cart supply people have them. This will take up any end play slack in motor and input shaft.

Do you know what the part number is for this rubber bumper for the fairplay 48 volt motor, where to buy?
