What is the best battery tester to use to check battery health on wet cell batteries?

A hydrometer is generally considered the best way to test battery health however a load tester can be used to check battery strength as well.

I bought this and it works well for me. Found my cart had a bad battery in short order. Tested resting and 100 amp load test.

Load testers like the one mentioned above are a great tool for testing batteries in a static environment. I use one just like it often. However, if the situation allows, the best load tester of a battery is the cart itself. If you are able to test the voltage of your battery while it’s under load from the cart (using a multimeter) it will give you the most accurate representation of your battery’s performance under its intended conditions.

the best reason to get an in dash digital voltmeter !!
i love mine, i can instantly tell just by turning on the key if my batteries are at full charge
also whether they are getting too low

no more digging out the VOM and holding the seat up while i put the meter on

The ECO bundle comes with this gauge. It reads not just voltage but amps in when charging and amps drawn when cart is operating. With 2 people on the cart going uphill while having a stock motor and a 350 amp curtis controller the most I have seen it draw is around 80 amps.
