ZZGO

Well I thought I would post up my build (I don't want to be called a "lurker").It started as a 1993 Ezgo marathon.I went the briggs route and got the bike motor bug after riding in rifters grey cart.I managed to procure a 2003 Kawasaki ZZR-600 parts bike and the madness began.I wanted to have reverse and didn't want to try to use a golf cart rear axle because I didn't know at the time if it would hold up.I got an idea from a mini sand rail site for using a Honda prelude tranny for a rear diff.So after all the fabbing, scratching my head and redoing half of what I had already done, this is where I am at.I will be shifting the bike motor and using the rear car tranny as a "selectable gear rear axle".It will not get shifted while moving. So much more to explain.... not enough time.

Thanks guys. PD.... from what I understand, the guy that I got the idea from has a sand rail that has a hayabusa motor in it.He runs a 1988 honda prelude 5 spd behind it.He told me he can run the car tranny in 3rd or 4th in the Oregon dunes(depending on hill sizes) and run 60 to 70 mph all day.If he uses 1st he could go rock climbing and if he uses 5th he could go to Bonneville.I personally do not know how it is going to do.I do not know if this would be considered a "parallel Differential". I guess if I got it all lined up straight it would be parallel

I hope with my "halfabusa" it will run pretty good.I had thought of the Harley Davidson 6 speed tranny but don't have the $$ for one.It would be a lot smaller although this way I will have reverse.Hope to get back to working on it again soon.I did manage to get my radiator and coils mounted.Should have more pics soon.Gonna tear down the frame and add in some more tubing so it don't fold on me.Thanks for the interest guys.

PS.... anyone got a goldwing motor laying around?

Well it's for sale.I won't go into details but my kids are only teenagers for a while and well.........16 yr olds are expensive. I have a truck that needs my attention and most importantly,my wife.I have two other carts and something good will come of those but right now I am in over my head with all these "things" I have going on.I hope someone gets this and finishes it.I had good intentions.any questions,pm me or call me 4077092110.thanks,Richie

Richie.... Really hate to see you post that this will go unfinished, was really wanting to see it run. What kinda' price can you put on all the planning,blood/sweat/tears, heart and soul that has already gone into this project. Best of luck...Hope it sells fast!!!
