Zone EV Blown 10 Amp Fuse on Reverse

Hi y’all I am new to cartaholics and to carts in general but I’ve learned a lot over the past month when I’ve purchased my first project golf cart ZONE EV I know it don’t get much of a good reputation here but I am looking for the overall value,. Long story short, I restore the batteries, it has an after market charging port since it’s major manufacturing issue was in the built in port so the original owner bypassed that, the problem I am having now that it will go forward just fine however once I go on reverse after like a 30 second or so it cuts off/ dies and if I replace the fuse it works again but same issue in reverse. Horn was disconnected, buzzer never works, I’ve also replaced the solenoid but the problem stop there.

The first two things that come to mind would be something in the forward reverse switch wiring, switch itself, or controller.
Will the cart move slightly forward when in neutral

Hi Diode, thanks for the reply, I don’t believe it goes forward on neutral, I have the cart jacked and it didn’t notice that, will definitely check again as I keep changing fuses every 30 second lol. I jumped the pin connector on the switch and it seems to be working (just to bypass the switch) the switch also reading continuity fine, I am afraid it would be the controller, any thoughts on how to test it? I am leaning towards a high current than a short somewhere since it actually runs for a bit on reverse then shuts off

I don’t think it’s a receptacle related, what I tried so far, removed receptacle cables from the pack, unplugged the buzzer, removed the FnR switch and jumped the connectors and still blew the fuse. One crazy thing is when I swapped leads on Solenoid terminals (brand new solenoid) with jump cables it worked fine on forward and reverse, so I removed the solenoid and turned it around with the mounting brackets and tried again, it below the fuse. It has a heavy duty Curtis solenoid rated to 200amp
