Yamaha Rear End Gear Oil Leaking From Vent Tube

I have a 1998 Yamaha g16 gas cart and the gear oil is leaking out of the vent tube on the axle tube next to the rear end cover I have drain the oil and put in the exact amount of oil back in and it still leaks I use the cart at a campground and after about two day I have to add fluid ,I can't fine any answers yet can anyone help Thanks Jeff

Had a simular problem, found I needed to make sure vent tube was pointed straight up coming out of the housing, then a 180 bend down. worked for me. Gibby

Can you send me a pic of the vent tube, and what model is your cart? This is where mine is leaking

The place it’s leaking is the circled hole. I used a mirror to see where the leak was from and take the pic. Thanks, Boo Boo

Seems like it's building pressure for some reason. My thought is basically the same as the others. Extend the the vent tube straight up [ well almost straight] as high as you can get it. Then loosely loop it back on itself.
