Yamaha Golf Cart Low Oil Light

I've had this Yamaha golf cart for a few months now 99 G-16 gasser. In all the time I've owned it I've never seen the low oil light on dash blink or come on. Is this normal or do i need to check something? Thanks

I believe the light will only come on if the oil level gets to low. If you want to check it next time you change the oil turn the key on after you drain your oil and see if the light comes on. DON'T START IT WITH NO OIL just turn the key to the on position...

It would be pressure activated, wouldn't it? Or is it actually oil level?

I'm pretty sure it's a low oil light on the Yamahas but not positive...

I’m having a similar problem my oil light stays on every when the key is off but when you run the motor it goes off

When you change oil turn key on while drained dont start just key on light should illuminate if circuit good.
