Yamaha Golf Cart G14 G16 Belt Adjustment

We have replaced the belt on a Yamaha G14 G16 golf cart but it still squeals when going up a hill, and won't hardly pull. Does anyone know how to do a adjustment for the belt to work correctly?

Does it roll easy, not like the brakes are dragging a bit.

Yes, it seems to roll ok.

Can you post a picture of the belt installed that shows how much deflection there is?

Ok, how many inches can you push the top of the belt down between the clutches. Is it the right length for the cart or did you just match the old belt?
There is no adjustment for the belt.

I guess we matched the old one, I put in search and came up with it, and after we got it, it seemed to fit.

Well if the belt fits right then the problem could be the drive clutch, i would lift the back of the cart off the ground and run it, watch to see how and where the belt rides in the clutches and how they shift.
