Yamaha Golf Cart Electrical Fire

I bought this Yamaha golf cart for $100. It had an electrical fire and was burnt beyond repair....for most people.

I plan on big blocking this cart and keeping it for my own use. Anything going on this cart is for performance. I'm not even going to replace the roasted body panels.

Here is my take at building a motor mount. I used some ideas from my EZGO big block motor mount. Yall Yamaha guys have it easy. You have a nice swing arm sub frame thingy to build off from. :-D 8)

What kind of engine are you going with in this cart?

What caused the fire? Was there a gas leak at the carb?

Either a 430cc snowmobile engine or a 18hp Briggs. I need to figure out how much money I have to invest in this cart first. I have the snowmobile engine already but I am thinking about putting that in my Workhorse.

The fire looks like it was caused by the lights being wired bad.

Whoops its been a while since this thread was updated. That's the camo cart in my sig. It was a pretty wild low buck buggy. Built it to be a keeper but I got to pay off this electric car. I'll put together some pics of the build.
