Yamaha G9AH Electrical Problem

My Yamaha G9AH has a electrical problem. The cart was running fine and it suddenly stopped runnning one day. The battery is less than three months old. When I put the cart in reverse, all I hear is a faint reverse horn like the voltage is too low. Any suggestions?
 
Voltage at the battery is 14. From the leads I checked at the relay, it looks like I am getting at least 12-14. There are four posts on the relay. I was not sure what posts to check. I finally found a schematic on-line last night. I now know where the voltage regulator is. Is there a way to check the regulator?
 
will the cart start if you jump it or use a battery charger? i dont think you can check the voltage regulator unless the cart is running.
