I resealed my G-9, replaced all the cables and made sure the airbox is sealed. It just seems like I have to hold the choke out longer than I think I should have to. Any suggestions.

As an engine wears it may need more fuel than factory specs. How is the compression? Check valve adjustment . Remove carb and clean & blow out passages. If all else fails go with a little richer jet.
