Yamaha G2 or G9 With Locked Up Engine

I'm looking to buy it is either a g2 or g9 but the engine is locked up. Guy was driving it and it locked up. I was wondering if the cylinder wall is aluminum or steel. I was going to replace the piston and ring and check out the cylinder wall but I think if the cylinder wall is aluminum I probably don't want to mess with it.

ok are these pretty easy to rebuild? I'm hoping to have to just switch out the piston and rings and be good but I don't know if I'm just wishing.

Did it run out of oil(most likely)? Take a close look at the crank.

yeah I'm going to check everything out but I will probably just buy another motor.
