Yamaha G2 or G9 With Locked Up Engine

I'm looking to buy it is either a g2 or g9 but the engine is locked up. Guy was driving it and it locked up. I was wondering if the cylinder wall is aluminum or steel. I was going to replace the piston and ring and check out the cylinder wall but I think if the cylinder wall is aluminum I probably don't want to mess with it.
 
ok are these pretty easy to rebuild? I'm hoping to have to just switch out the piston and rings and be good but I don't know if I'm just wishing.
 
They're pretty easy to work on. Just take your time and you'll be fine. If you have any questions you can always ask here and someone will be more than happy to help...
