Yamaha G2 Golf Cart Only Runs When Choked

Hey guys, a friend of mine has a G2 and it will only run with the choke half out. He has had this problem since he bought it, he rebuilt the carb and had the same problem. Now he purchased a new carb and still will not run right unless you pull the choke out a little. Any suggestions? Thanks, Paul

Check the air cleaner box and all connections to make sure they're sealed tight.

I talked to my buddy about the air box and he has installed a new one already. He is going to check it to make sure its still sealed tight. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Paul

Double triple check the MAIN jet in the carb. The symptoms are right for a jet that is partly clogged. Use carb cleaner and a small wire to ensure the jet is clear.

Have him set the valve lash to.006 If it still does it intake valve is burnt also check plastic spacer and gasket behind carb. Its one of these things
