Yamaha G19-E Slowed Down After Installing Street Legal Lights

I have a Yamaha G19-E cart with a upgraded Plum Quick "Coyote" motor, a Alltrax 4000 controller and a 400 amp solenoid with which the cart ran great, about 20 MPH . I just put a street legal lighting in the cart and it now runs at about 12 MPH ?? Any ideas why ??

Are you sure you have the batteries wired correctly after installing the light kit? What's the battery pack voltage reading on the main positive and negative posts?

Did you use a voltage reducer or the batteries ?

Does it run slow all the time or only when the lights are on ?

You did not use the frame for a ground did you? That is a big no no .
