Yamaha G14A is Very Slow to Start

My Yamaha G14A is very slow to start and it takes about 4-5 minutes to get going properly. Also after a few hours when it started to get colder it would do the same thing for like 30 seconds and then go perfect?

Any ideas?

Could be many things, when you say slow is the motor running fine and no speed or is it sputtering ?

Hell i don't like to move when I'm cold either. Sounds like it could be a little lean when cold, does it run different when you hold the choke out?

Sorry mate haven’t got back to you, I only need the choke for about 5 seconds on first start up,

engine sounds fine it’s like it doesn’t want to kick on

If it is hot soaking or flooding after it sits, try higher octane or no ethanol fuel, Sounds like it has to clean out excess fuel .
