My 1995 Yamaha G14 golf cart clicks at the solenoid but I also have 36 volts on the small terminals on the solenoid. Is this normal or is the solenoid bad. The cart has 1 year old batteries. It worked fine after batteries were installed it sat for a month and then this happened

So you're saying the solenoid clicks with the key on and you press the throttle but the golf cart doesn't move? Welcome to the forum. :hattip:

Yep and I checked ohms between the two large terminals and it didnt register. Then I reconnected the main leads on the solenoid and checked voltage between the two small terminals and showed 36 volts

If the solenoid clicks when you press the throttle with the key on but have no power on both large solenoid posts chances are the solenoid is bad.

You should have full battery pack voltage on the large posts of the solenoid when the throttle pedal is pressed. What is your battery pack voltage reading with and without pressing the throttle?
