Yamaha G1 Gas Golf Cart Fuel/Oil Mix Ratio Question

Hey guys I'm new this this forum, always been on a race car deal, thanks goodness that's behind me. Anyway I bought this older Yamaha G1 gas golf cart to putt around with my Grandaughter. I've worked on 2 strokes before, but on this one I have a question. I am premixing my fuel and need to hear from someone else that's doing the same and what fuel/gas ratio are you using? I put a new top end on the engine, rebuilt the carb, new fuel pump and removed the oil pump. I mixed a ratio of 32to1 and it smokes blue smoke and runs rough, except on the uphill. Any ideal where I should be on the ratio? If I understand the repair manual correctly the pump was set up for 150to1 up to 200to1, this made no sense to me! HELP!
Thanks

Welcome to Cartaholics.

Yamaha calls for 1 ounce of oil per gallon of gas for golf. 1.5oz per gallon for long runs.

Thanks for the info. I did change to 44to1 and it did get a bunch better. I don't use it for golf, just to drive around the land. My problem is I haven't driven a 2 stroke before and when it hits the governer, it sounds funny to me. I did radar the thing and it's top speed was 11mph, this seems inline with the manual. My family loves it and we are having a lot of fun driving it. Thanks again.
