Yamaha G1 Custom Lift Kit

Here are pictures and measurements on my custom lift kit on the 1988 Yamaha G1 golf cart.

Here is the main base for the lift

you need 2 of these same sizes

This is the bracket to lift the torq bars in the new location (Side view)

Top shock mount must be removed and lowered 5" from original position

I am waiting for the paint to dry on the arms and spindles I will reinstall tomorrow and ill add pictures then

Ok paint all dried so lets install some parts

Lift plate and bracket just bolts back in the original holes where the arms usto bolt

Now everything else just falls into place just like stock +5"

now add spindles and hubs the only thing needed to do here is screw out your adjusters for your tie rods to compensate for lift

and your done

total cost of lift was
27.00 for aluminum plate
0.00 for angle iron ( use bed frame)
total about 27.00

I now have to get new hardware cuz i had a brain fart and didnt think it would look too bad

Nice job and thanx for details and pics. How much lift is it 6 inch? What size tires did you put on 22's? .Do they make 22 inch tires to go on stock rims? I'm new to the Yamaha G1 I picked up a really clean rust free G1 cheap. Its getting painted ,now whould be the time to lift seeing its apart.
