A friend dropped off his 2001 Yamaha golf cart, along with a set of high speed gears that needs installed in the differential. I have changed transmissions and rear ends in cars, but never fooled with a golf cart, even though I have one. How difficult is it to change these gears and do I need any special tools. If someone has a detailed diagram of the differential case that would be great, as well as any help with the procedures required to do the job.
