WON'T GO IN REVERSE ALL THE TIME

I have a 1992 EZ-GO Marathon electric cart, I have put a new F/R switch in but it will still not go in reverse all the time. If you play with it a while it will finally go in. Very frustrating! Any help would be appreciated> On another matter I ordered a 36V digital battery indicator it worked for about 15 minutes the went to flashing red even though the batteries are fully charged any suggestions?

I have the same problem with my 1990 Easy Go Marathon. Not as bad since I changed my wires.. battery indicator may be hooked up wrong. Check the diagram again ...One the Cartaholic Experts will be here shortly....

It sounds like either a bad cable connection, bad or bent micro switch or a problem with the forward and reverse switch

check the metel arms on the micro switches they tend to start bending........................
