I just got a golf cart gave to me, it is a older yamaha 2 stroke im assuming is a g1? but the serial # has been removed. so i dont know the year having some electrical issue just woundering if the circuit diagram on the forum for the 83/84 would be the same it is realy close only 2 thing different i can see but they have done some cutting and splicing on my so ho knows one thing differnt mine has 4 prong regulator the diagram has a 3 .but the one im worried about is the starter generator they had three to it and the diagram has for.....? any help ? is there any way of telling year with out the serial# thank

If it's a 2 stroke it's a G-1. The wiring diagram on the forum should be the right diagram.
The serial numbers on a G1 should be under the rear bumper stamped into the square cross member of the frame.
