Windshield Hinge

So my windshield hinge is breaking on my 2004 TXT and I need to repair or replace it. I did a search here and didn't find anything. I can buy a new hinge and a a tube of glue on Amazon for $35 or a whole new windshield on the net for $100. Are ther other suggestions or way to fix it? I want to avoid the hardware store piano hinge option.

I've never tried to fix one I always buy a new windshield. Check with the advertisers here on the forum for a good deal if you go with replacing it.

The Craftics company mentioned in the previous post for the H Style hinges is not just wholesale, they also sell retail.
I just talked with them on the phone and they told me I could order of their web site.
So I ordered the h style hinge to fix my windshield. 6 foot hinge with shipping only $22.00.
A whole lot better than having to buy another eighty dollar windshield.

Any way the hinge was great. Slipped right on and is tight. Didn't have to use any glue or anything special.

How do you remove the old hinge to replace with the h hinge?

You might be able to get the old hinge of with a little heat and a razor blade or putty knife. Don't get carried away with the heat though.
