what mph is everyone getting?

i recently had somebody tinkering with my cart, and in doing so he somehow smoked my rev limiter, i have adjusted the accelerator cable to keep the rpms low, anyhow i had the gps out in it this weekend and clocked it between 19-23 mph with a stock 1999 club car ds with a 6" lift on 8"rims...how does that compare to everyone... i also have a 16hp carol stream motor just waiting to give me a reason to drop it in...how much of a pain in the arse is it to get it sitting good? im fairly decent at modifying things so i think i can tackle it

In my opinion if you're going to run it without the rev limitor you need a tach.

i couldnt agree more hotrod...i plan on having one hopefully by this weekend..i am looking for an analog, i really dont like the digital tiny tachs personally, however they are pretty cheap as far as cost goes

You should be pretty safe with the speeds your running but it's hard to tell without a tach. Drive belts, tire size and clutches all play a roll in the actual RPM and top speed so without a tach you can't be sure.
