What Does PDS Mean On a EZGO Golf Cart

What does PDS mean on a EZGO Golf Cart? I have seen it discussed concerning a Electronic speed control? I recently bought a '93 EZGO Marathon and I do not know if PDS applies to my cart, and should I spend time on researching this or not?

PDS means Precision Drive System, it's a sepex motor (regen).
EZGO made 3 drive systems up until they introduced the RXV drive in 2008.
They are a "series" drive made up until 2007 or so, a DCS drive from 1995 until mid 2000 and a PDS from mid 2000 to present.
