What Amp FUSE For Radio, Lights, Accessories

Hello, I am a newbe and just purchased a 2000 Yamaha gas cart with front lights and radio. Like a dum...ass, I was washing under the front fenders with a hose and fried the radio. The radio is shot so I removed the radio and replaced the main fuse with a 10amp as described in the owners manual. The last owner was using a 30 amp. Now when I run the cart with the lights on the 10 amp blows. So I guess the question is, is it ok to use a 30 amp fuse for the main fuse that is located under the black cover next to the engine???????

Welcome to the forum.

The 10 amp fuse isn't big enough for the lights. I'd try a 20 amp first and if that blows go back to a 30 amp. Is there anything else hooked to that fuse other than the lights?

I also will be running a radio with that circuit but I did a little looking and it seems that the old owner grounded the radio and the lights to the front frame. I am going to run a groung direct to the battery and see what happens. I need to isolate the light circuit to keep the load off the ignition system.
