Westinghouse Electric - Markateer cart

Hi All - just discovered this site - thanks for all you do!

I just brought home a Westinghouse electric Marketeer cart. Looks like a stand-up warehouse cart. Its got a very beef motor and differential. There are no electronics on this cart!. The "switches" are copper bus bars with rotating levers that wipe copy conducters to make contact. Very old school. It has 3 60AH batteries and runs the motor at 36 volts. The original charger circuit is gone.

Can I pick up one of the 36v chargers for a golf cart and use that? Anyone else have one of these vintage carts? Any advise? I was going to install a 300amp on/off switch instead of the manual wiper-style one. The forward revers is a large bus bar that is spring loaded in forward and you pull a lever up for reverse. Is there an easy way to upgrade that?

Also I need to replace the front tire - are there tires that will work well on dirt and hills?

Thanks in advance!

They make a forward reverse contactor you would need to switch to activate it that’s a nice cart
