I have a 87 ez go electric 36 volt golf cart. I welded a step on the back without unhooking
the battery cable. It ran for a couple of times but now it won"t run. What damage have I done ? anybody have an idea of what I've done.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum...

The 87 should be a resistor cart unless it's been upgraded. I doubt if the welding would cause a problem on that specific cart. Check all you cable connections first.

replaced all the cables and they are all tight. Have 37+ volts at solenoid. checked the forward and reverse switch and it looked ok. ?

Under the seat right in the center behind the batteries you'll either have coils or a controller. It should have coils.
