I've been asked to restore a 2003 txt with a 295 Robin 4 stroke. The voltage regulator is smoked (typical red, green, black wired) I have to rewire the whole thing due to mice and people that should not be sold butt connectors!! Can I bypass the regulator (green wire from starter/generator) or use a regulator I have on the shelf (2 yellow wires, 1 red wire, body grounded) so I can at least safely turn this on to diagnose the engine? I've already jumped the solenoid to learn I only have 30 lbs. in one cylinder and 90 in the other. Sorry for the run-on sentences, It's 90 degrees in my shop!! I appreciate all of you!!
