v glide

I have have never had one of these but just looking at the design tells me the first part to go would be #18 wiper brush. I am thinking clean up all other contact surfaces and replace wiper brush. Unless resistors look toasted i wouldn't mess with them The wiper brush is definitely the main wear part.

18 1013860 ASSEMBLY, SWITCH BRUSH

The resistor values are posted right there in the manual, Enter the value and resistor in your browser. They are dirt cheap. I used to buy capacitors at a little local radio shop to fix TVs. Less than a dollar

Interesting I didn’t realize the 1995 48v used different resistor values in the V-glide, I thought it was just a carryover before they changed to 5k-0 in 1996. I’ve never bothered trying to change the resistors, MCORs are so cheap it’s not worth it unless you’ve got nothing but time. Also like @Notsoslim said usually it’s a contact issue, resistors don’t just go bad.
