Need Help! Just replaced front springs with stock leaf springs and cart is really stiff and rides rough. Is there anything I can do to sofen it up? I have a 2002 TXT non-pds. I have lowered air pressure to 15 psig. Help some but is still real stiff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

Are the springs factory EZGO springs? There's really nothing you can do to soften it up. Make sure the shocks have enough travel and aren't bottoming out. If they're factory springs the shocksshouldn't be the problem but I'd check the travel just to be sure.

Thanks for the quick response. The springs and shocks are stock. After finding a exploded view of the front end from the service manual it looks like I may have installed the springs wrong. I installed them with bow towards ground instead of up towards the body. Would this make that much of a difference? I installed them just the way I took them off.

Yes you need to install them so the arch aims up. With them installed the way you have them your caster will be way off and the front of the cart will sit lower than it should making the shocks to long and have no travel.

Just put the springs back into the correct position. Front shocks are bottoming out, not travel space. I replaced all of the shock bushing to see it that would help but they are still bottoming out. Any ideas??? Anyone know where I might be able to get a shorter shock? Or is there something

If you have the right shocks and they're bottoming out I'd say you may have the wrong springs. Where did you buy the springs? What's the part number? Does the cart look like it's sitting to low in the front?

Bought stock springs from buggies unlimited. The cart does not appear to be riding low. The front appears to riding a little higher now than before.

Are the shocks new to? I'm not understanding how the cart can be sitting higher but the shocks are bottomed out.
