Turn Signal Switch Wiring Diagram

Here's a wiring diagram if that's what you are looking for. Not sure it's a Grote but they're all similar.
NOTE: On an electric cart, nothing gets grounded to the frame, it all goes back to the neg post on the battery.

Thanks doug, I did find one anyway, but thanks for the effort.
I sent a message to the company "Grote", but no reply yet (24 hours so far)
Must be to big of a company to give time to the common person.

I just googled it and it came up "universal turn signal wiring" from a source called
crwdesigns.com

Mine has all the wire colors the same and works fine with the diagram shown but I still have an extra white wire. Everything works fine without this white wire, so no big deal, but I may play with this "Grote" company and see how long it takes for them to get back to me and explain what the white is for.

I think I saw, in all my searching, a post describing that the extra wire may be a ground.
It would make sense as white is the ground in trailer wiring applications. But otherwise, I would not have guessed in a million years how the rest was wired, the colors have no ryme or reason, yellow is not left, green is not right etc.

Oh, by the way, I can not see pics or diagrams of threads, posts or replies when I am on this site at work (some corporate computer restriction thing!!!???) so I can't see what you sent until I get to my home computer. So, your info may be the same as what I found.
But thanks anyway!

Doug,
Finally got a chance to see your diagram.
Wow, the wire colors are similar but very different destinations.
I don't have an orange or brown wire. they are grey and black on my switch.

Strange, the legends are so different. You would think there would be an industry norm.

Anyway, thanks for the info.

The wiring diagram was posted for the wiring sequence, not the colors.
Golf carts are made for golf and all the additional accessories are made by outside vendors with very little chance of any standards being adopted.

I was scanning and came across this post. I just wired lights in my Harley cart but they won't flash. They come on though. I used LED lights that go on the mirrors of cars. I changed the flasher to a low amperage unit but still nothing. Any ideas?

Led lights will not flash with a standard resistive flasher. You will either need to get a flasher for LED lights, put a resistor in series with the bulbs or use an additional bulb located under the seat or somewhere inconspicuous.

The turn signal unit came from Buggies unlimited. I had them send the low amperage flasher that is supposed to work with LED"s. Didn't. I spoke with the auto parts store today and hey said they could get a unit that would created a load like an incandescent bulb. Guess I'll have to try one.

I wasn't sure where to wire in the bulb so I took a stab at and it worked. Finished! I installed the roof yesterday too.
