Top Speed Changes on My Yamaha Golf Cart

I have a 2011 Yamaha electric golf cart that was just in the shop for the 1 year service & a lube leak in the left rear axle bearing seal. The seal no longer leaks. That's the good part.
Now I notice that the top speed changes 2-3 mph on flat road with no input from me. I've checked the tire pressure to be at 20 psi. It's usually more noticeable on the first trip of the day. Could this be due to someone readjusting the controller while it was in for service? Or a controller starting to have issues? We use the cart about 300 miles/month. The yamaha dealer is is very non-committal about what work was done. When asked what was done, the reply was,"repaired as per factory procedure".
Anything I can press them on?

Check to make sure you dont have brake drag, i believe there is no brake drums on a 2011 the brake is inside the rear axle. It could be dragging if the shop adjusted brake pedal cable causing surging feel. Also check battery connections at batteries , test drive a few minutes then check to see if a cable is hot or warm to the feel, this could be a high resistance causing current flow to be erratic at high speed. Take it back to dealer and tell them it did not do this before they worked on it and see what they say. :dazed:

Got my cart back yesterday from the dealers service department. The problem was a malfunctioning motor which was replaced at no charge to me. The cart is back to original performance.
Thanks for the replies to my original post!
