Too fast!!!

I see a lot of talk on here about speeding carts up. How do you slow one down? I've got an 02 CC Caryall XRT that runs 32 on the highway. Speedlimiter shuts it down all the time. What's the deal here? Has someone monkeyed with this thing? I got it "used" as a junk cart for free. Needed about $35.00 of TLC to get it tunning.

Don't fuss about a good thing... Want to slow down, go to little "ole "bitty turf tires, that ought to do it.. Going 32, think you got bad GPS or speedo... Maybe someone replaced the 12 something to 1 differential gears with the 8 to 1's or even the 6 to 1's.. Buy a $40.00 tach so you will really know what is going on with the motor... Don't want to twist it too hard, 'specially if it is stock.. I like to disconnect the governor, run it up till you hear it about to come apart, then try to keep it coupla hundred revs below that.. Lots'a coming apart tells you that magic sound, STAY JUST UNDER THAT !!!.. GOOD LUCK.. I always wanted one that ran TOO FAST!!! Hate to say it, but there is really a euphoric feeling just before one comes apart!!! Don't matter if a drag car, boat, 'roundy 'round car whatever, it's the need for speed.. Maybe it's just a Southern thing.. Luck,LA JIM

In all the years of fooling with engines I've never had one come apart. Got a lawnmower fixin to croak. I might let a little oil out on the last grass cutting of the season just to see what it feels like. I don't know if the cart is stock, and the GPS seems to match the ones in my cars. It does have big tires on it. I've wondered if the XRT has different gears in it. I've got another carryall with tiny little tires that won't hardly run 14 MPH.
