Tire Size

Trying to decide weather to go with a 22" or 23" tire on a 95 Medalist with a 5" lift.
Cart has a stock motor with a bigger main jet and bypassed governor.
Will the 23's be too much for the motor to turn?

the 23's will work, i would look at changing the ramp cup on the driven clutch to the 28 degree to get your torque back.

Do you think the shorter belt would suffice, at least for awhile?

you bet, lots of guys have had good results with a shorter belt
