Can you jump an electric motor in a cart with no batteries from another cart to see if the motor runs? I tried going to main neg and pos in the battery compartment but all i got was the back up beeper. trying to find out if the motor is any good. Thanks

Its in an 88 cc, resistor cart, has the 5 solenoids across the back. Micro box not a vglide

Okay it would be a series motor.

Jack up the the rear of the golf cart and place on jack stands. Remove all wires from the motor. Put a jumper wire from an "A" terminal to an "S" terminal. Hook a 12 volt battery or 12 volt battery charger with 15+ amp range to the other "A" and "S" terminals that aren't jumped with the jumper.

For some reason that did not work, i tried jumping it with a 12 volt batt. On a good note i put 6 6 volt batteries in it and one new solenoid later it runs like it is supposed to.The 1st. solenoid after the master sol. wouldn,t click so i replaced it.This is just an old project cart i bought, i need to get the brakes fixed before i run something over, LOL,Thanks for the help.

Hey guys i don.t quit on these carts, sooner or later i can make em go. I have learned a lot off of these forums. You can learn a lot just by reading and paying attention, which i am not real good at all the time, but i get by with a little help from my friends here.. John
