Strong Smell of Gas in garage.

I just bought a 1992 G9 that is giving off a strong smell of gas. It is very noticeable in my garage. Any ideas what is causing this? There are not any leaks showing on the ground (no puddles). My fuel tank release valve/grommet are good and the gas cap is tight. I don't see any cracked/loose hoses. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Is the cart running good? Does the oil smell like gas?

Cart is running good and dipstick smells like oil. I do have to hold the choke for about the first minute while driving cold. Airbox is dry.

It's hard to say where the gas smell is coming from. Look it over real close there must be a small leak somewhere. Maybe it's not enough to drip on the floor. Check the float bowl to make sure there's no gas seeping out of it.

HotRodCarts-Good call on the float bowl! There is gas leaking on the bottom of the float bowl. The bolt is tight so I am assuming the gasket is bad. Anyone know how I can take the bolt & gasket off without getting gas all over the place?

Your going to get some leakage when you pull the float bowl. Either put a drain pan under the cart or take it off outside if you don't want the fumes in your garage.
