steering alignment on '84 Marathon

Hi,
New to forum bought my first cart a beat up '84 Marathon. I have been going over the cart first thing I did was check compression to my surprise the old motor still puts out 120psi compression so the motor stays for now..

Started fabricating 4" block lift rear went easy 3 hours and done, the front however is more time consuming.

My real question is when doing an alignment with the wheels set straight should these two items marked red be pointing at each other?
The cart turns further to one side than the other.

I believe that should point straight forward which would also correct your side to side differential.
The only alignment is 1/8" to 1/4" toe in.

You can loosen the clamps on the short steering link and adjust until the steering arm is close to straight.

I would use something a bit sturdier than a red brick...
