State-of-charge gauge on 1/2 and I

Hi, I have been charging after use daily. Suddenly today, after a last night charge, the state-of-charge gauge only registers 1/2.....

Is this indicative of a problem?

what type of gauge?

Has EZ GO 36V on it; it is horizontal. It seems to be stuck on 1/2; I just went on a tour of the tract/allotment.

Next time you charge the cart wait a hour or so after the charge is complete and unhook one of the meter wires from the battery pack for about a minute. That will reset the meter.

The meter should be hooked to the two batteries on the passenger side, the same two batteries the charger wires are hooked to. Follow them from the charger recepticle. If your cart is a PDS or DCS make sure you flip the run/tow switch to tow before unhooking any wires...

The new year is going pretty well here--the gauge fixed itself. I charged last night and today it was ok???? I have decided to keep a file of your advice for the future.

It might be a good idea to check all the battery cables and make sure they're clean and tight...
