93' The post on the starter that gets grounded to the frame gets red hot. I've gone over the wiring, everything looks correct according to CC brakedown. I assume getting that hot is not normal?

no its not normal if its getting red hot....you may need to take the starter out and apart and see if theres anything going on inside..................................

You have a bad connection at the post or at the grounded lead. Too much current is required to complete the connection causing the heat. it could even be the crip connection where the eyelet is crimped to the cable. I would remove the cable and inspect the post for damage/being loose in case/etc and check the ground end for corrosion / clean threads/etc. If everything looks okay replace the cable and retest.
