Starter Solenoid

I've got a '95 gas Club Car. When the key is on and the pedal is pushed, nothing happens. I can turn the key on and bridge the posts on the solenoid with my wrench and it works. I bought a new solenoid and put it on, but I am still having the same problem ( I can bridge the new solenoid and it works). Does anyone have any ideas?

I think you should have one in the black box where the solenoid is and 2 more on the forward reverse switch.

Turns out I had bought a different type of solenoid and therefore had hooked it up wrong. It is now hooked up right and the starter engages. My new problem is that the engine will not turn over now. I checked the spark plug and it has a blue spark. I'm thinking that maybe its not getting enough gas now (the engine was turning over fine the other day).

What do you mean? Will not turn over, or will not fire? I always reach for the starting fluid. A lot of guys will poo poo this, but I always have a few cans laying around. It's great stuff.

The starter is working and I have a good spark, but the engine will not do anything. I haven't tried starter fluid yet, but that is next on my list.
