It worked out extremely well. I have the cart on key start. It idles at 920rpms. Cart starts to move at around 1200-1300rpm. It gives it great take off power. It beats my daughter's cart out of the hole and she has 23" tires. I am going to put a power spring in her cart hopefully this weekend. I also sent an e-mail to Tom @ Dixie Sales to find out about driven clutch machining. I want to get the most out of this beast.

WW, you are welcome any time to come over and talk carts. I hope my friend makes it this time. I am trying not to get to excited about what he is bringing me.

Rusty1 Thank you very much. I am going nuts now at home. I have nothing to do and 2 months befor the campground opens. Heated garage and all I can do is stare at the 2 carts sitting in the garage. Yes, I do take them for rides on a daily basis. But that is not good enough for me. I got to be working on something all the time. I am now stuck doing home repair now. Oh what fun I guess I did to much too fast.

Thanks. I sent my driven clutch out yesterday to Tom at dixie sales. He says he can fix my little problem with it. With BU's torque spring in it for 2 years, it has worn a groove in the clutch since it would not open all the way. Tom said it can be machined and will open all the way when he is done. Thus giving me the torque I had with it plus the top speed of a stock clutch. I hope it does. I will have a better advantage when I drag race my brother again. This is something he don't know about. I know he doesn't come to this site so I am posting it here. :)

I am still having slight problems with the FE350. The exhaust side hydrolic lifter is sticking. Sometimes causing the push rod to fall off the rocker on start up. Plus it starts to miss at about 4000rpms. I have 2 new lifters coming. I hope this cures it. I am not driving it till I get them installed.

Man, so much has happened. Put the stock engine in GOLIATH and sold it. It just left.

I bought Clayboy's Yamaha 18hp V-twin cart. Very nice ride! It just needs finished.

I am going to miss GOLIATH.

The clutch worked out very well but it did slow my top speed down by 3 mph. I kept the machined driven clutch but put the torque sping in a stock clutch and put it in Goliath to sell. Also sold with it the torque spring in the drive clutch. That little stock motor will still get up to 30mph on Goliath. The new owners are extremely happy with it. Thats what counts. Looks like the FE350 will go into my daughters cart now.

Jerry....................... on a Yamaha? LOL

Seriously, you have done a great job on these carts and it is good to see your daughter is interested in them too.
It's always a blast when the kids get involved.
I am looking forward to pictures of the Yamaha build!

Excellent job on the cart! I have the same flames on my Red CC. I pulled the speedo of my bike, but I do not think it is programmable. How did you attach the magnet to the spindle? Where did you get your bike speedo? Do you have the make and Model?
