Started Out with a 89 Club Car - Goliath!

Started out with a junk 1989 CLUB CAR - Transformed into Goliath! I paid $150 for. After selling 3 engines, a bunch of my old model cars, and my people hauler trailer, I have only spent about $150 on parts or machining. So I got about $300 total in this cart. I even bought some Bunker wheels for my other cart. I do have a ton of labor in it though. But it was a fun build. I am in the process of cutting out head lights for it. I also did a 94 frame swap just to increase its value. But my camera was broke at the time of the swap. So I don't have any pics of that. Thanks for looking.

Nice! I like all the pictures being in a nice straight line without 30 posts inbetween each one. Makes it alot easier to follow. Thats bear claws makes a huge difference in looks.

I have to agree with Tha Rooster, that other thread is about 83 pages long I think and the pictures are hidden in all that BS and bickering. Now I can see the whole thing and I LIKE IT!

You did a FINE job on this one wass1967!

Thanks guys! Yea, the other thread is long but it does have 3 projects in it from stat to finish. I figure, Why start a new thread for each? It will just get lost in the pages. I will do another of Roadster Extreme too. But I will go way back to when I first got it. I think everyone should have a thread like that. Your right, it does look cool looking at all the progress. I don't mind the bickering. I hope the mods there don't delete it cause every one will see who to avoid. I will have more updates soon. I am in the garage now cutting in factory headlights. They look awesome. Nice thing about being a mod is...... I hope I can add them in at the end of the pictures. Bad thing is that you can only have so many pics per post. That is why I had to post so many in a row.

Very nice... That golf cart is a fine looking ride for sure. Its easy to see that a lot of blood, sweat and time was spent on it.

Wass, As always you do nice work. Since I have now moved from the stone age and moved from dial-up to cable I can enjoy the photos and the ideas developed on the forums help everyone enjoy the hobby. Nice job!, Wayne (car 53)

Sorry, I didn't see this till now.
Rears are 27x12x12 Kenda Bear Claws
Fronts are 27x10x12 Kenda Bear Claws

I got my head lights cut in yesterday. I hope to do the wiring today.
They look ok. Got them off of E-Bay for $39. Not bad. At least I will be able to put something under them if they need adjusted down. I want to be able to run them as the regular head lights and the round ones for off road. On Roadster Extreme, there is no way to adjust them down at all. I got too many complaints at the camp ground and had to switch to the others to drive around there.

Jerry, Friend of mine ordered a set of lights that look just like yours. He got the complete kit from rocky top carts. Wants me to install them for him, his cart is a 90 with the old style front cowl. Any tips or tricks to cutting them in? I used a roto zip when i did my carts. My only concern is how they will fit on that old style cowl. Later John

I am not sure on the 90. My body is the newer style. It did come with a pattern to do both styles. Only thing I don't like is they point in the trees. I am working on it though. I used a drill and jig saw. Roto zip can get away from you.

Then this kit should have both templates, should be here monday. If it doesn,t look right he can buy another front cowl, allready has the new style rear on it. Cart is going to the paint shop, just want to get it cut out before paint. By the way your cart has really gone through a big transformation. Looking good.

Jerry looking good sir...
I never liked the cut in's either for the fact you can't aim them. I tried spacers but my light glass feel out and broke, Oh well I didn't think about it until it was to late. Looks great though.

Thanks Andy! Glad to see you here. They do make the adjustable ones like Yellow Jacket has and they are AWESOME. Work great. But they are about $150. If I can sell a few more things, I might get them.

WW, Snake head is gone! I had to make room for improvements. LOL It was only a $5 piece anyway. Replaced it with a $12 piece LOL :D

Thanks! Glad you made it here. My parts are shipped finally. I ordered them back on November 28, 2006. 2 balancer connecting rods. Now I can finally start assembling the FE350 engine. I am really looking forward to getting this in Goliath. 30mph is all the stock engine can do at 4100rpms. I hope this engine has the power to get up to about 4800 rpms. I am guessing 34-35mph.
