just replaced batteries and solinoid....cart now runs but take off speed is crazy slow. Now my cart , on a full charge, doesnt have enough power to pull itself up a small hill...and i live in south GA...there are n hills. could this be the speed controller goin bad. cart is a 1999 G-16

Did the cart run slow on hills before you replaced the batteries? Make sure you have them wired correctly first. Check individual battery voltage to make sure you didn't get a bad one.

All batteries are showing 6.2 volts. and all batteries are wired right. The cart didnt run like this before the battery change. Once the cart gets goin it will run great...it just is SLOW on take off. almost as if it has no tourque.

If it ran OK with the old batteries and the new batteries are wired correctly I'd say its a battery problem or bad connection. Do a voltage test on each battery under load, while driving the cart.

I too, doubt it's the controller that is causing your problem.
It's always a good idea to change the battery cables when you do a battery change. They can build up some internal resistance.
Do any of the cables or connections get hot after driving the cart?
New batteries take about 25 recharge cycles before they come up to their full potential.
What is your total pack voltage after a charge and rest for at least an hour?
It needs to be 38.2v or better and the individual batteries need to be 6.4v or better.

Think i found the problem. all batteries are 6.2 with one exception...the main positive battery is only reading 3.8 after driving the cart....problem found

Glad you found the problem.

Weird how all the batteries had 6.2v and then 1 had 3.8v. Replacing that battery should do the job.
If you haven't replaced your battery cables, this would be a good time. Keep us in the loop with the outcome.
