Site Speed

Hi, I just wanted to let you all know I'm aware of the slow speeds on the site. I'm working with the sites webhost now trying to resolve the problem.

UPDATE: I'm still working with the webhost trying to get the speed issue resolved. If we're not back to normal by tomorrow afternoon I may be moving the site to a new host. If I move the site it may be down for a day. I'll post a day or so in advance if I decide to move the site.

Same thing happened on ANOTHER site....

Something was logging in hogging all the bandwidth....

Don't know how they fixed it....

I've been with the same web host since 2001. Normally they're very good at finding and fixing problems fast. This morning they told me everything was fine and the site was running like it should.

Not the answer I was looking for seeing how it's obvious there's a problem...

I'll give them another day to get it fixed and if it's still running like this I may have to move to another host. If I do move the site I'm going to upgrade the forum software to a new version. I might as well kill two birds with one stone...

UPDATE:

The forum is on a new server now and things should be back to normal speed wise. There's a few things that arn't working yet and I'll be working on these after band practice tonight. If you come accross anything that's not working PLEASE post it here and I'll look into it. As of now the only things I know that aren't working is email and the Member Map.

As soon as I told the techs to get it fixed or I was sending Nubs and DS out there to take care of business they had it running within minutes.

Ok, I think we're back to normal here. If you come accross anything that's not working properly PLEASE let me know in this thread. the only thing as of now not working is the Member Map...
