my 36 volt 2000 cc shudders under acceleration ( forward only ). Batteries range from 8.03 to 7.96 and one with 5.97. Voltage is 35.5 under full load. Any ideas??

Welcome to the forum.

Are you sure it's a 36 volt cart? From looking at the voltages you posted it looks like you have a 48 volt cart with six 8 volt batteries. Those voltage numbers are way to low. I'd say it's batteries causing your shuddering problem.

Very strange readings for 6volt batteries. Your 5.97 and 35.5 values indicate batteries discharged by +- 60 % but not sure where the 8 volts comes from. Test all batteries open circuit voltage after charging (leave dormant for 6 hours before testing) they should read 6.37v if fully charged. (38.2v across the pack) any discrepancies should be investigated.

sure does sound like a battery issue even 1 bad batt. will cause this so go over all of them ........test them, load test them and check cells with a hydrometer.......................................................
